TASHA, Contemporary Artist

Tasha Clark is an African-American Contemporary Artist in South Florida. Her paintings are bold, bright, colorful, Afrocentric, and powerful because she wants to empower the powerless. Her brand is a combination of feminism and black culture. When she creates, she is her authentic self.

The Brand

She is influenced by her military upbringing; spending most of childhood in Germany. Along with her siblings, she was encouraged to embrace people of all cultures and backgrounds, whilst living in diverse multi-cultural communities.

Prejudice & racism was unnatural to her as it is natural for humans to breath air. Racism was not something she experienced until her late teens living in the US. Another influence on her work is her love for indie Hip-Hop, Jazz-Hop beats & Neo Soul music. But her most profound influence has been her own dreams. Some of her ideas and concepts for a collection came to her in a dream. She records them in a journal and still refers to them today for future collections. Her designs are not only dynamic, but on trend, speaking to women of color, girls, and anyone in-between who wishes to be surrounded by joy, love, positive vibes, beauty, and peace.
