Message from the Artist: COVID-TIMES

Message rom the artist: Covid Times
Paula Wowee Essential Work Mask

Hey There, hoping you and yours are staying safe during this pandemic. Just a message from me the artist. I wanted to let you know how I’m coping during “COVID-TIMES”. I’m actually doing pretty well physically and emotionally. My friends and family are also well. So, blessed on that end.

I realize for some, cabin fever is real. It takes you back like being on punishment for something you didn’t do when you were six. I hear ya! I know all of my extroverted friends are losing their shizzle, but in these times, patience is literally a virtue.

I’ve taken advantage of the quarantine #covidtimes by binge watching Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Pluto TV which is free by the way. I’m still creating art and writing. This virus has changed what kind of art I’m creating.

Seeing the shortage of PPE in the news made me sad and upset So I thought I could help the only way I know how, through art. So, for the past few weeks I have developed designs that can be used to create masks for essential workers. I will use a POD fabric platform to upload my art. I’m not much of a seamstress so no way I’m sewing masks.

I’m also preparing clarkieShop launch, now that things are opening back up. However, I am being very conservative about social distancing. I don’t plan to rush out to dine-in or shops at malls anytime soon. But I do plan on patronizing my fav restaurants thru GrubHub and Ubereats and shopping online. I’m only leaving the house to work offsite 2 days a week and to get some fresh air.

I hope we all use this unique moment to be better humans and do better.

Stay tuned. Sign up for the latest info on the release date of facial masks and art prints.
